3-Dimensional Logos and Color Specifications
In 3-dimensional signage, the Whirlpool ring of promise must appear to encircle the Whirlpool word and be positioned exactly as indicated in the corporate logo. When installing an interior sign with the corporate logo, the clear zone for the Whirlpool Corporation logo is based on the height of the letter “o” in the logo and must not be surrounded by additional graphics or colors. No distracting patterns behind the logo are permitted that may compromise the integrity of the logo.
2-color applications are always recommended for Whirlpool signage. The Whirlpool word and corporate identifier must be in black on a white background. If the background is dark, the Whirlpool name, and corporate identifier must be white or aluminum (silver in color). The ring of promise must be in the corporate yellow or as an alternative, can be metallic gold.
Facility Exteriors
Exterior facility signage is one of the most visible of all logo applications and therefore should project a positive and consistent impression of corporate facilities worldwide. Every effort should be made to ensure the highest quality materials, fabrication methods, and techniques. When installing an exterior sign with the corporate logo, the clear zone for the Whirlpool Corporation logo is based on the height of the letter “o” in the logo and must not be surrounded by additional graphics or colors or with any patterns behind the logo.

Professional architecture graphics assistance is recommended for exterior signs. All exterior facility signs must be reviewed by the Whirlpool Global Facilities team, as well as the Trademark Group.
When a sign is used to identify a building occupied by Whirlpool, the word “Corporation” or other corporate identifier must be included. The use of additional words identifying a facility or providing directional information is optional and dependent upon need at a particular facility location.

Interior signage must reinforce the corporate image to our employees and visitors and project the quality of our products, services and workplace. Every effort should be made to ensure premium materials, fabrication methods, and techniques on interior signs as well.
Lobbies, Entryways and Visitor Areas

2-color applications are always recommended for Whirlpool signage when using the corporate logo. The Whirlpool word and corporate identifier must be in black on a white background. If the background is dark, the Whirlpool name, and corporate identifier must be white or aluminum (silver in color). The ring of promise must be in the corporate yellow or as an alternative, can be metallic gold.
Subsidiaries should include the name of the legal entity prominently in the visitor reception area. This includes signage or a plaque.

Interior and Directional Signs
All new interior directional signs created after January, 2021 must follow the corporate style guide with approved fonts and icons. Signage should be produced on a white background for contrast, clarity, and simplicity. Use simple icons to enhance information when needed. Content at most, should incorporate:
- Whirlpool Corporation logo
- A band with the Whirlpool Accomplished Blue used as a primary color
- Accent Blue used only to complement the core blue
- Typography should appear in black, Accomplished Blue or a dark gray
All of those elements do not have to be used together; keep it simple.
